TRICARE Eligibility

TRICARE is available worldwide to eligible beneficiaries, including active duty service members (ADSMs) and their family members, retired service members and their dependants, National Guard and Reserve members and their families, survivors, certain former spouses, and others, from any of the seven uniformed services—the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard, the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service, and the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

All beneficiaries must register in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) to be eligible for TRICARE. Beneficiaries can verify their eligibility in DEERS by calling 1-800-538-9552. However, providers must contact Humana Military Healthcare Services, Inc. (Humana Military), to verify TRICARE patient eligibility.
