Humana Military Healthcare Services is offering new services online that will help you
better manage your TRICARE patients’ health care.

Some of the important features available in the Provider section of the Humana Military
Web site include:

Online Claims Submissions—Submit TRICARE professional and institutional claims
online using Humana Military’s HIPAA-compliant real-time online claims processing
system for transmitting claims 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Check Patient Eligibility—Verify TRICARE beneficiary eligibility by registering on the Web site. Details about
TRICARE eligibility are returned instantly.

Online Referrals and Authorization—Enter a new referral/authorization request, check the status of an existing referral/authorization, get a list of provider services, and look up diagnosis and procedure codes. The majority of
online referrals and authorizations are approved on the spot and can be done while the patient is still in the office.

Claims Status—View claim status in real-time, whether the claim is in progress, resolved or returned.

Provider-Specific Reports—Obtain interactive, dynamic reports, including complete online utilization reports
that give detailed analysis of all charges and expenditures, key indicators (e.g., pharmacy utilization and emergency
admissions), etc. In addition, you can obtain cost comparison of care and treatment reports, adjusting for patient
characteristics and geography, for all providers in the South Region.
