Clinical Support Agreements

Humana Clinical Resources is available to assist you in managing your CSAs.  The Clinical Support Agreement Program represents a “Task Order” requirement for Humana Military to provide needed clinical personnel to the MTF Commanders in those situations where the MTF Commander has determined that it is in the government’s interest to obtain clinical personnel through this program. The MTF requesting the CSA is responsible for funding orders issued under the Clinical Support Agreement Program.

A CSA is used by a MTF to obtain necessary clinical personnel such as physicians, physician extenders, mental health personnel and ancillary personnel such as nurses, techs, therapists, etc.  Humana Military has a large number of CSAs across the South Region.

A CSA can be written as a Personal Services Contract or a Non-Personal Services Contract.  To date, the majority of CSAs have been written as Personal Services.  Personal Service contracts opens up the clinical candidate pool by allowing the clinicians to be licensed in any of the 50 states, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands or any other U.S. acquired locations.  Further, a Personal Services contract allows the contract personnel to fall under the Federal Tort Law that covers them from a malpractice standpoint.  This is important in that the MTF does not have to incur the cost of malpractice coverage for the contracted provider.  Personal services contract by its express term or as administered, makes the contractor personnel appear, in effect, as Government employees.  This gives the MTF greater control of its purchased resources.

Humana Clinical Resources has been extremely successful in procuring the staff required by each of its CSAs.  Our time to fill ratio is greater than the national average.  In addition to our seasoned recruitment staff, our credentialing staff will source verify all physicians’ credentials prior to submitting them to your facility.   Should you be interested in exploring a CSA, please do not hesitate to contact us.  We would be happy to tell you about our experiences and furnish you with references that can attest to our successes.
