TRRx FAQ's (Article 5)
I want to find a pharmacy in my area that is part of the TRICARE Retail Pharmacy (TRRx) program. How can
I do that?
There are about 53,000 retail pharmacies in the nationwide TRRx network. To find a DoD TRICARE Retail Pharmacy near you, visit Express Scripts online, or call 1-866-DoD-TRRx (1-866-363-8779). The list of network pharmacies is updated the first day of each month to ensure you have the most current information.
How do I submit a retail pharmacy paper claim form when I fill a prescription at a non-network retail pharmacy?
If you get a prescription filled at a non-network retail pharmacy, complete claim form DD 2642, which you can download online or obtain by calling 1-866-DoD-TRRx. Mail all completed claim forms and related documents to:
Express Scripts
P.O. Box 66518
St. Louis, MO 63166-6518
How do I submit a retail pharmacy paper claim form when I use other health insurance (OHI)?
In order to be reimbursed for prescription drugs not covered by your OHI or to request reimbursement for the OHI
cost-shares, you need an explanation of benefits (EOB) from your other insurer and a completed claim form DD 2642.
In addition to prescription drugs, what other items are covered under the TRRx program?
Alcohol swabs, needles and syringes for home-use injectable drugs, glucose test strips, insulin and insulin syringes, lancets, diaphragms and spacers for inhalers are covered by TRRx when obtained via a prescription. For more information on covered drugs, call 1-866-DoD-TRRx.
