Humana Military Healthcare Services partners with Broward Navy Days to hold Fleet Week 2009 Port Everglades

Week-long celebration honors service members from Coast Guard, Marines and Navy

LOUISVILLE, KY — April 14, 2009— Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) – Humana Military Healthcare Services (HMHS), TRICARE contractor for the South Region, will partner with Broward Navy Days to hold Fleet Week 2009 Port Everglades, April 27 - May 2, 2009. This annual event brings together men and women of the maritime services and the south Florida community.

“Humana Military is honored to be a part of this week-long event recognizing members of the Coast Guard, Marines and Navy for the countless hours they spend in service to our country,” said Dave Baker, president and CEO of HMHS. “It’s a way for us to thank these courageous men and women in uniform and we are excited to share in the celebration.”

Fleet Week, which began in San Diego in 1935, is a tradition for the United States Coast Guard, Marines and Navy. Active military ships dock for one week in cities across the country allowing the ships’ crew members to visit the city’s tourist attractions while providing an opportunity for the community to take tours of the ships.

This year’s festivities kick off with an opening ceremony held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on Monday, April 27. Several events scheduled throughout the week include a golf tournament, chef competition, celebrity chef luncheons, and receptions honoring officers and dignitaries of the maritime services. U.S. Navy and Coast Guard ship tours will be open to people who pre-register online. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis and is limited to online registration only.
