Retirement of Executive Director Announced and New Leadership Named
LOUISVILLE, KY — December 28, 2005 – Humana Military Healthcare Services (HMHS) announced that Andrew F. Love has been named the southeast market executive director, with responsibility for the company’s TRICARE operations in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and Puerto Rico. Love will assume his new role on January 9, 2006 and will be located in Augusta, Georgia. HMHS’ current southeast market executive director, Dick Rushmore, announced his retirement effective January 4, 2006. (more)

LOUISVILLE, KY — October 31, 2005 – Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) announced today that Humana Military Healthcare Services (HMHS), working on behalf of the Department of Defense (DoD), is extending its referral process until November 30, 2005 for displaced TRICARE Prime beneficiaries in specific areas of Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi.  Although the network has been significantly restored, a severe housing shortage still exists which is delaying the return of beneficiaries to the areas. Therefore, TRICARE Prime beneficiaries who are establishing themselves in a new location should change their PCM. (more)

The new agreement is for services at the department’s Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. (NYSE: HUM), completed its transition as the regional contractor for the administration of health services and support for the Department of Defense (DoD) TRICARE South Region. This final phase completes the South Region, one of three new regions serving TRICARE beneficiaries, and includes TRICARE-eligible active duty and retired members of the uniformed services, their families, and survivors residing in Arkansas, western Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas, excluding the far western part of the state. These states formerly encompassed TRICARE Region 6 which was served by Health Net Federal Services. (more)
