Humana Military Healthcare Services Announces the Commissioning of Tim Egan into the Navy Reserves

 


LOUISVILLE, KY - February 23, 2006 -
Humana Inc. (NYSE:  HUM) Humana Military Healthcare Services, Inc. (HMHS), the Department of Defense (DoD) TRICARE South Region managed care support contractor, announced today that one if its valued associates, Timothy Egan, was commissioned as an officer into the Naval Reserves on February 16, 2006.  Egan was commissioned into the rank of Ensign.

Ensign Egan will focus his duties for the next 18 months on training to become an Intelligence Officer.   During this training at Fort Sheridan, Illinois, he will learn to provide tactical, strategic and operational intelligence support to the U.S. naval forces.

Egan currently is a Project Manager for the Quality Management and Customer Satisfaction Dept. of Humana Military Healthcare Services. Before joining HMHS, Egan served as a manufacturing and process design engineer for the Robert Bosch Corp. in Charleston, South Carolina.  Prior to his experience in Charleston, he completed Black and Decker’s Manufacturing Management Development Program in Towson, Maryland and Charlotte, North Carolina.  He holds a bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering.
