Audio Health Library (Article 9)
Health Information at Your Fingertips |
|
When it comes to your health, information is one of your greatest assets. To help you stay informed, Humana Military offers an audio health library filled with the latest health care information on the health topics YOU care about.
The audio library is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling toll free 1-877-217-7946. When you dial in, an automated response system will direct you to choose your area of interest from a list of general medical categories. Once you choose your category, you can drill down to the specific illness or health care topic you wish to hear.
If you have access to the Internet, we recommend that you visit www.humana-military.com first to check the list of Audio Health Library topics and find the four-digit code for the topic you will need. It will make your phone call much easier.
The Humana Military audio library is available to anyone wishing to learn more about specific health-related conditions. There is no nurse advising you on the best course of action for your particular symptoms. For complete diagnosis and care, you must see a physician or seek emergency treatment.

Customer Service Face-to-Face (Article 10)
For those who prefer face-to-face interaction, there are plenty of options. |

TRICARE Service Centers: Walk-ins Welcome!
You’ve heard the phrase “TRICARE Service Center,” or maybe you’ve heard “TSC”—but what is a TSC? TRICARE Service Centers (TSCs) are located throughout the South Region and are staffed with customer service representatives to assist you. A TSC locator is available on the “Find a Provider” page of the Humana Military Web site at
www.humana-military.com. The locator provides specific driving directions from your location to the nearest TSC. You may walk in during regular business hours for prompt customer service!
You can also locate a TSC online from the TRICARE Service Center locator on the TRICARE Web site at www.tricare.mil/tricareservicecenters.
Beneficiary Counseling and Assistance Coordinators
Beneficiary Counseling and Assistance Coordinators (BCACs) help you navigate TRICARE and Military Health System inquiries and concerns and advise you on obtaining care. BCACs are located at your local military treatment facility (MTF) and at the TRICARE Regional Office—South (TRO—South). BCACs participate in retiree events and frequently provide TRICARE seminars to newcomers and beneficiary organizations. To identify and locate a BCAC near you, visit the BCAC directory online at www.tricare.mil/bcac/
Debt Collection Assistance Officers
Debt Collection Assistance Officers (DCAOs) are located at the TRO—South and each MTF to assist you in resolving health care collection-related issues. Questions about billing should be addressed to Humana Military. Contact a DCAO if you have received a negative credit rating or have been sent to a collection agency due to TRICARE services.
You must bring or submit documentation associated with a collection action or adverse credit rating to the DCAO for assistance. This includes debt collection letters, explanation of benefit (EOB) statements, and medical/dental bills from providers. The more information you can provide, the faster it will be to determine the cause of the problem. The DCAO will research your claim, provide you with a written resolution of your collection problem and inform the collection agency that action is being taken to resolve the issue. DCAOs cannot provide legal advice or repair your credit rating, but they can help you through the debt collection process by providing documentation for the collection or credit-reporting agency in explaining the circumstances relating to the debt. To find a DCAO near you, visit the DCAO directory online at www.tricare.mil/DCAO.
