School Physicals: Time to Make an Appointment (Article 5) |
|
Back-to-school time has its rituals: new shoes, new clothes, maybe a new backpack and supplies. Many schools also have another requirement: a physical for your child.
Now’s the time to contact your primary care manager (PCM) to make an appointment for your child’s school physical. TRICARE covers annual school physicals that are required for school enrollment for TRICARE-eligible beneficiaries ages 5 to 11.
This benefit does not include physical exams that may be required by the school to participate in school sports.
Get a jump on the new school year—and cross another “to do” off your list—by scheduling your child’s school physical today.

Looking for A Provider? (Article 8)
Humana Military's Online Provider Directory Can Lend a Hand |
|
One of the most valuable tools on the Humana Military Web site at www.humana-military.com is the provider locator—“Find a Provider,” found in the Beneficiary Services section of the site. The provider locator will help you find a military treatment facility (MTF), a hospital, or a civilian network provider close to you. Information in the provider locator is updated every 24 hours as Humana Military learns about providers entering and leaving the network or changing their information.
Simply click on “Find a Provider”—it will take you directly to the Provider Locator page. From there you can click on what you want—MTFs, TRICARE network by distance or by name, and many other choices. You can also locate a TRICARE Service Center from the “Find a Provider” page. |
