Asthma Symptoms

 

What are the symptoms of asthma?
Symptoms of asthma include:
 
  • Shortness of breath
  • Tightness, pain, or pressure in the chest
  • Wheezing – a high-pitched whistling sound when exhaling
  • Persistent cough (commonly at night in children)
Associated findings include:
 
  • Cold symptoms lasting more than 10 days
  • Excessive fatigue after exertion
  • Waking up often in the middle of the night with shortness of breath, chest tightness, or coughing
