The Issue
The Military Health System (MHS) is one of the nation’s largest employers of clinical personnel: physicians, allied health professionals, technologists, nurses, and others. Demand for clinical services in the MHS continues to grow, while clinician supply constantly changes due to deployments, retirements and general staff movement. This fluid environment presents many challenges to optimizing the value of the direct care system, especially at the local level.
The Solution
Humana Clinical Resources offers innovative solutions to help the MHS meet its physician and allied health recruitment needs. Our approach relies on experience, collaboration, and service, ensuring that we meet and exceed our customers’ expectations for timeliness and quality. Characteristics of our approach to clinician recruitment include:
- Access to thousands of candidates. Leveraging our recruiters’ existing relationships with practicing physicians and allied health professionals, and our proprietary databases, we offer military treatment facilities access to thousands of candidates ranging from primary care physicians and nurses, to rare specialties.
- Understanding of client specifications. Our recruiters have worked with dozens of military personnel and MTFs. We understand the unique qualifications demanded by our clients and use that information to tailor our searches so we present panels of viable candidates who can quickly fill even the most challenging positions.
- Capacity to respond to a wide range of recruiting assignments. Backed by the resources of one of the world’s largest health care companies, we have the capacity to tackle assignments ranging from a single practitioner to entire departments. No assignment is too large or too small for our recruitment team.
- Sophisticated analytical tools and models. We leverage our sophisticated analytical tools and models to help clients design the optimal financial relationship between the facility and the provider to ensure all parties’ financial goals are supported.
- Support for a wide range of malpractice risk management strategies. Our clients face an uncertain medical malpractice risk environment. Through our relationships with malpractice carriers, and our proven risk management approach, we manage the risk of claims and provide coverage to reduce financial uncertainty.
- Best-in-class account management and customer service. We recognize that our responsibility does not end with candidate placement. Rather, we offer ongoing account management and customer service to ensure client satisfaction after the position is filled.
- Proven candidate orientation, training, onboarding, and retention services. Our responsibility extends beyond simply presenting candidates, to include ensuring that our placements understand their responsibilities, quickly integrate into the work environment, and commit for the duration of their assignment.
- Proactive assignment tracking and reporting. Our proprietary assignment workflow system tracks the status of every assignment using a data-driven approach to ensure that assignments are completed in a timely manner. We proactively provide reports to ensure clients are constantly up-to-date on the status of each and every assignment.
Through the combination of these value-added services, our team of seasoned recruiters, and our 15 years of proven experience focused on recruiting physicians and allied health professionals for clients serving military and veteran populations, Humana Clinical Resources stands above the crowd of clinical recruitment and placement competitors.
