Becoming a Vendor
|
Corporate buyers are challenged with finding qualified small businesses to partner with in order to achieve their contract compliance goals. As a small business seeking opportunities in the federal marketplace, it is important to do the following:
- Obtain a DUNS number and register in the Centralized Contractor Registration (CCR) System.
If you do not have a DUNS number, contact Dun & Bradstreet to obtain one.
Register on the CCR web site. CCR is a database designed to hold information relevant to procurement and financial transactions as it pertains to federal agencies.
- Register for the Small Business Administration (SBA) Dynamic Small Business Search.
The SBA manages the Dynamic Small Business Search database of small business concerns. The Dynamic Small Business Search database is an Internet-based database for and about small businesses used by federal government buying offices as well as many large federal agencies prime contractors.
This is important since it allows us to search for qualified suppliers with skill sets matching our requirements as new opportunities arise. By registering on Humana Inc.’s supplier portal, a small business becomes exposed to opportunities throughout the Humana family, including but not limited to Humana Military/Humana Veterans.
Attention: Please note registering is not an invitation to do business or a guarantee of obtaining business from either Humana Military, Humana Veterans or Humana Inc.
