Humana Military Healthcare Services and the Valero Texas Open Announce a Partnership to "Honor Our Heroes" Valero Texas Open October 9th - 12th
LOUISVILLE, KY — October 1, 2008— We are proud to announce the partnership of Humana Military Healthcare Services (HMHS), along with the Military Warrior Support Foundation, and Golf San Antonio to honor and host service members who are recovering from illness or injury acquired in Iraq and Afghanistan at this year’s Valero Texas Open, October 9-12, 2008, at the Westin La Cantera Resort in San Antonio, Texas. Through this relationship, a Warrior Hospitality Suite (WHS) will be provided on site of the VTO. The suite will accommodate approximately 75 injured warriors and their families in a temperature controlled environment overlooking #18 green each day.
“Golf is a popular game among many service members and gives Humana Military the opportunity to thank our veterans and support for our military while providing them with a memorable experience and quality of life outing during their recovery process,” said Dave Baker, president and CEO of HMHS. “For some of these heroes, it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend a PGA TOUR event and we are excited to be a part of it.”

About the Valero Texas Open
The Valero Texas Open, which is an official PGA TOUR event, is held annually in San Antonio and attracts 132 of the PGA TOUR’s top players.
