Humana Military Healthcare Services' Web Site Receives URAC Re-accreditation

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — February 9, 2010 —
Humana Military Healthcare Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM), recently received re-accreditation for its Web site from URAC, a Washington, D.C.-based health care accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the industry.

“Humana Military understands the importance of providing a secure and quality Web site to our beneficiaries, providers and other partners,” said Dave Baker, president and CEO. “We are pleased to continue being recognized by URAC for this commitment to online credibility and trust.”

The Health Web Site Accreditation program is an innovative, cost-effective quality improvement service, providing feedback to health Web site owners on how to improve the quality of online operations. Standards look at a number of areas including health content, policies and procedures, disclosure, external linking and privacy.

Humana Military also has current URAC accreditation for Case Management, Disease Management in Asthma, Diabetes and Heart Failure, Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) – Privacy category, Health Network, and Health Utilization Management.
